Combat and abilities

Well, hopefully the combat system will be the one expected and not button spamming.

Now they said that you will have around 5 abilities (if i remember), and an ultimate that charges up. Since there are no cooldowns, I expect we won't be forced to the 1,2,3,4,5 buttons and actually be able to mind them.

But now comes the tricky part, since movement will be extremely important in this game, having to let go of some WASD might prove a SMALL disadvantage, since in that split second you might be moving in a predictable manner or not moving at all, just so u can press a button on your keyboard.

But as we all know, there are tons of gaming mouses out there with 213612783651823 buttons on the side, now as u can imagine, considering the game only has 6 "official" buttons to press, bind them to the mouse and you're free to move around with ur WASD keys with no fear and focus on the target more consistently.

The question is: Will the investment in a mouse with side buttons actually help you by a visible margin, or am I just over-reacting to this ability to have mouse side buttons?

Probably, if you can conceivably access every ability without taking your fingers off wasd then in pvp you'd have just a slight advantage, this is also why there definitely should be gamepad compatibility. Although I think for a usual pc users whose used to having to switch keys it shouldn't be a problem. On some level though, this game does sound like it would actually be easier to use a controller in lieu of a keyboard and mouse, except for aiming, that's where a mouse can't be beat.

Due to WoW experience, im used to bind my keys and acess them quickly, but movement in this game will play a much larger role, so im unsure by just how much it can be a disadvantage

I actually had a conversation with someone about this and I believe it a gaming mouse will give people a slight advantage. However its all about preferences. I mean by no means will you not be able to play without a gaming mouse in PvP and not be good. But you may find some players able to dodge or move around more then you. So it may be a good investment however. Depending on your hand size, I say only invest on a gaming mouse with no more then 8-9 extra buttons on the side. I currently own a Razor Naga Which has 12 buttons on the side and two extra buttons near the left mouse button. And I only use six of them because the others are just to uncomfortable to use due to the size of my hands.

Yes i actually envied a friend of mine who bought the razer naga one with 12 buttons, but he does have small fingers, while for me, even if i can access them easily, it felt a bit wierd, i think they over did it there, too many buttons.

Currently i have a mouse with 2 buttons on the right side and 1 extra in the middle (its a button, its not the wheel, but i have no idea whats its use is, i just bind it in wow for some long cooldown ability lol)

Considering its a combo game, having 2 most-used abilities should be sufficient for me, we'll see i guess.

Yeah I went a little bit over board on mine. I loved the look of it online and it was a great deal I bought it for $59.99 with free shipping so I couldn't pass it up. Also it fit the color of my rig really well!

GO RED! haha :D
I believe that the Razor Mamba or Deathadder will work just fine.
