How will this MMO be different? How will it be the same?

I'm asking because the new trailer got me interested. Now, I know for a fact that its very unlikely to be remotely close to representative. Afterall, TOR had amazing trailers but svcked horribly and eventually free to play.

So I was wondering, how will combat be different to other traditional MMOs?
Will there be a sub-fee?
How will servers be handled?
How does trade and crafting work?
How does PvP work?
What style PvE is there?
What social aspects does the game have?
What is the system for classes? Is it typical class trees? Will you start off as a mage and go down the 'destruction' path for damage, or 'restoration' for healing?
What will the gear system be like? Will it be a gear grind, or will it be what GW2 wanted to be?

So essentially, you want us to think for you instead of looking up -.-

Me and others in these forums have answers to those questions, some more complete than others depending on what they have announced. I could go question by question providing videos with developer interviews and links to websites, but that would be a lot of work on my part and take longer than you would take to actually go on yourtube or google and do a search. So, the second best thing I can do is point you here.

Read all the areas of interest you have and get your answers. Roll down to the sources on that page, they have links with videos and developers interviews, really informing. It will give you an idea of where the game is now, what is different in combat and what kind of thinking they have for PvP, PvE etc.

Good luck.

I don't want to do a lot of thinking.

MMOs are a dime a dozen these days, some new one coming out, some new one just came out and so on. I think that as a consumer, people have a lot to choose from in the case of MMOs, so I do think it would be very helpful if Zenimax would be clear in what unique, and what traditional directions they are heading in so that it can make the process a lot simpler.

I think they are being clear, it's just that the game is far from release, so there is not much to go on except for what they say will be there and what people who played the alpha saw. We're all on the same boat waiting to see details of the various game systems so we can determine how unique the game is, not much to do but read what was revealed so far and wait for more news. If you don't want to do much thinking and just wanna watch a gameplay footage or a nice summary video with the differences of ESO to the other games, I suggest you come back in 6 months or so when they have released more.

If you think you are above researching the game then wait and find out when it's released.

They can be a lot clearer.

'Class system' is vague. While it does mean it won't be like the traditional TES games, it doesn't tell you about what these classes are. Will they be unique, restricted and will it be a holy trinity. Warhammer online had unique mirror classes, if that makes sense. Classes had fundamentally similar roles and mechanics but were not identical. Vanilla WoW was a bit like that in how the Shaman and Paladin were faction specific. Similarly, GW2 has a class system but no holy trinity. So, answers beyond 'class system' are needed. As for gameplay, I do think gameplay would be nice. However, some specifics on how it is handled would be better.
