How can I keep my NPCs from dying?

Post » Wed Jan 23, 2013 6:16 pm

Hey guys. It's really annoying being paranoid every time I go to a city and a dragon/vampire attacks and an NPC dies. I waste so much time reloading and then being paranoid that maybe somebody died and I didn't realize. Is there any sort of mod or something I can do? Any solution?

Let them die and realize that's part of life and death in Skyrim. It makes the game feel more real and your actions or inactions become that much more important. To me it adds a sense of risk and reward that I really enjoy. Sometimes I'm able to save them and sometimes not. Life goes on.

Stalk them and make sure they stay alive. Also get to know their favorite food, and when they will have a chance to wander into the woods. Alone...

There's also :

http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/16724 - reduce the frequency of dragon appearances.

http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/21615 - stops attacks on cities by vampires. Encounters still occur in the wilderness.

I'll be honest I used the Fortify Restoration glitch to give an enchanted ring "Fortify Archery by 40,000". I use it to kill to kill Dragons, and in the future, Vampires for Dawnguard.

Uninstall Dawnguard, beat the MQ so dragon spawns slow down, and get good at archery or destruction.
