Bards, intruments and all that jazz

Just read another thread called http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1438537-player-tenting-vs-player-housing/

Got me thinking about the roleplaying side of things and other things that are part of TES games.

Bards, singers, muscians. I wonder if there has been any thought in regards to this type of thing in ESO. In taverns/Inns in the single player games there are npcs that will play a musical instrument and sing a song. Will players be able to acquire different musical instruments and play them. The kind of thing I am thinking of is like the musical instruments in Lord of the Rings Online, where players can actually set up musical files and load them to play some music. In LOTRO it does attract a lot of attention and I find it quite rewarding when you running through Bree and you see a group of players with their instruments out playing a song with various different instruments, all in time. And there's normally a large crowd of people standing around commenting and enjoying the atmosphere.

Now, I do not think this is a must have in the game and pre-launch is certainly not a priority, but you cant deny the value that it could add. Especially for the RPers. It is these kinds of small additions to games that help to add a bit more vibrancy and life to the whole setting, imo. And getting back to ioxon's post I linked to above, can you imagine running through the woods and you come across a campsite with a bunch of people around a campfire playing an airy ballard? I know I would just have to stop, sneak in a pick someones pocket!! :whistling:

What are your thoughts?

That appears to be more in regards to bard songs for in combat benefits etc. Where my post is more along the lines of roleplay/fun which has no impact on combat. But thanks for the link :D
