So, I've been looking heavily into getting into wargaming. I've been looking specifically at WWII-era games, such as Blitzkrieg Commander and Bolt Action.

I've started looking at prices for armies and things of that nature. I'm still a bit overwhelmed at the choices, and I'm still not 100% certain on how to start.

Is the best course of action to buy one of the rule books first? I understand it will list the units for each army.

I know I've seen that others play Warhammer and the like. Any advice? We can also discuss wargaming as well.
