Scaling walls...

Ok we have all seen the new trailer, anyone else think scaling walls must be in the game? It has to be with the amount of time they devoted to that game mechanic in the trailer...and those canon-bridges..I wonder if we get all that stuff...? I really hope they have the scaling walls because I can remember that being so much fun in DAoC...and I was on both sides of it as a rogue stealthing in to kill all the healers, and as a Cleric hoping a Paladin will keep his eye on me cause sooner or later an enemy Rogue would be standing beside me with his knives out...

I loved this is DAoC it made making a rogue actually useful in PvP. And I was in a guild that rolled a group of 8 infiltrators and would just demolish people in forts and on the bridges.

I do sincerely hope they add that mechanic into the game. I would be seriously disappointed if they didn't.

I must admit after watching the new trailer all I could think about was how cool those features would be in RvR.
Rope bridges? awesome!
Wall climbing? Awesome!!
Secret dungeon passageway filled with monsters that leads to the objective? OMFG Awesome!

I haven't seen it in action in any game yet, but sounds either UP (if detected ur just roflstomped in seconds), or incredibly OP like invisible guys climbing your walls, then half the enemy force would be rogues, even if half fail, the other half of assassin would make the enemy have some real bad time without their clothies

This is just assumptions ofc, no idea how this will work ingame.

It would actually make sense that you might find caves in Cyrodil that lead inside a fortress. Geez...just imagine having to fend off an onslaught of people from scaling up the walls, to bashing on the door, rope bridging along from a near mountain, and even from underneath your feet...

"quickly goes straight to desktop and creates a shortcut to no where called Elder Scrolls: Online and bashes the mouse button clicking it and nothing happening...." I WANT TO PLAY PVP NOW....erg..that just sounds fantastic..

Well from my experience in DAoC. It was really hard to take over a keep unless you had all the siege weapons and 3 groups of people behind you. But with the addition of the scaling walls in DAoC I could take a single group of rogues and take a keep without having to repair anything.. It is a great strategy.
