What to when you're friends are in a different faction?

Post » Fri Jan 25, 2013 12:36 pm

So I just learned, from reading through the forums, that the different factions can not mingle in pve areas. So what do you do if your real life friends all want to join different factions? I mean, they are fairly split so far but I could end up having to make a decision between playing with my best friend or playing with the faction I'm going to enjoy the most. I had assumed that with this being a mega server we could still hang in game so long as it was in a pve zone. So is this right are we going to be segregated?

Yes. Your not even allowed to go to the enemy provinces. I say you either convince him to switch or switch yourself. I'm sure you or him can find an equally enjoyable race on the other side.

You can be in the same guild, but to play together you have to be on the same faction!

You can also make an alt and just play on that character when your friend/family plays.

Either compromise and join a different faction, or make an alternate character to play with them

You can? I would like to see confirmation of this :D
I assumed that you would not be able to be in a guild that crosses factions, in game that is. Unless you were just meaning outside of the game you can be in the same guild?

Edit: And in response to the OP. We all just have to svck it up and join the same faction if we want to play/group together, unfortunately.

Sigh...I suppose that's true, that I can play alts but its just going to be annoying. I pretty much stick to Bretons but I suppose I could do a Nord. Yuk...I gotta bad taste in my mouth just thinking about being Nord. :yuck:

You don't have to be a Nord. You can be an Argonian instead. :frog:

You meet up at Tully's and don't leave until you've reached an agreement ;)

If you look on the bright side though, by making an alt to play in your friend's faction it means you get to experience a new story that you might not have otherwise.
