Ok back to the beta trailer again, what spell was that when the group arrived at the start of a long hallway/cave and the leader motioned for the mage to use his staff, what spell was that ? anyone know? The one that sent the light down the hall....

I think it was just a fireball or something like that?

I'd guess Fireball. The Dunmer, if the same one, uses that staff to burn a Undead Werewolf a little later.

Looked more to me like the light was on the edges though and not from the middle as a fireball would be....

Mage light I think its called. It looked like the spell in Skyrim where you can shoot a light source in a direction, the next one up from the ball of light over your head.

That is true. It actually made the walls glow. maybe that is because they were on fire...lol

It's magelight, and it sparked my interest too.

I just had to watch that trailer again, its awesome. I wonder if there will ever be games that we can play with graphics like that.

I took a closer look at it, and Magelight doesn't work like that. Magelight is an actual Orb that cast light and sticks to the first object it hits.

That had no Orb, It wasn't blue and it continues around the corner.

That is not to say they didn't change it for the game or even a special type just for the video.

I think it was just a fire spell they made look all fancy.
