asrock z77 extreme 6 motherboard
nvidia 660 gtx
2x4 gig dual corsair ram
2x500 western digital sata 3gbs drives in raid 0 array
coolermaster haf xm case with a coolermaster cpu cooler
seasonic x series 650 watt psu

ALL COMPONENTS BRAND NEW

I fully updates the nvidia drivers so they are current as of today. Chipset drivers all fully updated from the asrock website as of today. except for the audio drivers which i installed from the nvidia drivers.
I should expect I won't have a problem running skyrim??
but when the game runs the video is choppy and then coloured squares appear on my screen and then the monitor turns off. Tried it twice. What could cause this??

The cooling fan on the video card is defective.
