Skyrim is a widespread area with a diverse population of various races from cat people to humans. As I was reading the elder scrolls wiki page I read about Lycanthropy and how each race is supposed to vary based on it's habitat. Humans and elves are divided among werebears and werewolves, while argonians and khajiits turn into different creatures such as the werelion and werecrocodile. I was hoping that these new forms will be available in the next Skyrim DLC and players will be able to turn into them based on their race... Any thoughts?

It's not based on race. There are different strains of lycanthropy, but you can contract any of them regardless of your race. I think Hircine decided to create werewolves in areas where regular wolves are common, werecrododiles in places where crocodiles live etc. But if you're a Khajiit and get infected by a werebear, you'll become a werebear as well - you'll be a werelion only if you're infected by a werelion, and so on. It works the same way for other races.

But you're right, it would be nice to see other strains of lycanthropy. I doubt we will though. It will be difficult enough to balance werewolves alone.

Damn it, I though he wanted to see different forms of lycanthropy in TESO It would be the perfect game to show them too, at least as NPCs.

yeah it still a good suggestion. it's kind of silly when i see an Argonian becoming a werewolf or a elder vampire (or w/e it's called <,<')

well lore wise they still would, they would just be able to be something else as well.

Elder Scrolls Wiki is garbage. Never trust anything written there, since people make [censored] up off the top of their head. UESP is the place to be.

No wonder he got his information wrong. He was using the Elder Scrolls Wiki. Any race can be any form of Lycan. A Khajiit can be a Wereshark, an Imperial can be a Werecrocodile and so on.

Do hope that Lycanthropy is still an option to the player (please let me know if they said you can, I haven't heard much news on TESO)

It is vitally important to the character I roleplay, even if the benefits for it don't turn out too great.
