I'm trying to use DweSphereCenturionPort01, in some creative ways. I needed spiders and spheres to appear to come from the same source. To that end I started http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1439644-req-tweaking-a-vanilla-model/. JDFan was kind enough to send me the model I requested. It seems perfect but I can't be sure yet.
When I tested the new model in-game the sphere won't start inside the furniture properly, it is just waiting on the ground with some weird clipping. http://i.imgbox.com/acmGSSGC.png. I know precisely where the borders on my ambush-activate trigger are, and I'm not anywhere near it.
As you can see, I've set up three ambushes. One is 100% vanilla, One uses the new model (with original collision data intact), and the last is a control (I simply duplicated the DweSphereCenturionPort01 Base-Object and gave it a new EditorID).
Only the 100% vanilla port is working (the middle port in the screenshot). I tested the positions of each port with a 100% vanilla port - no problems there. As soon as I stray from the vanilla DweSphereCenturionPort01 object things go to crap.
I should point out there is no navmesh in that cell, but that fact has not had any adverse affect on any of my other ambushes (and I've got a lot of them), it seems only important for what happens when they come out of the furniture.
The most infuriating thing is the fact that the duplicated vanilla port doesn't work! How can this be?!!?
