I've been seeing alot of posts both in forums and on youtube about people saying ESO should not be about pleasing us "TES fan boys" and that it should take the example of WoW and Guild wars etc etc and not look to TES lore and synchronise with it

If this game is not about the elder scrolls > TES
it would not be named ELDER SCROLLS ONLINE.
If there are so many people who say ESO is "going to svck" and who hate TES and do not want to play a multiplayer version of it WHY DO THEY WANT TO PLAY ESO?

This rant is part of a 500 page novel i will be writing, after wich i will detonate nuclear devices all across the world if ESO turns out to have little or nothing to do at all with TES

Most are just trolls trying to get a rise out of people. They are of the new generation from other toxic communities of F2P games where they can be fat, neck bearded, dorito eating, basemant dwelling gods amongst children. Do not feed them, they only get fatter and hungier.

they will get what they want - and it is not bad, mechanics wont hurt lore "that much". what I would do ? rather what I wouldnt do: I would not create a topic about it.

Everyone has their opinion. Devs already know where they're going with this game and whining from either side of the fence isn't going to change much.

Better be TES, otherwise it never existed. Simple as that.

I can deal with some gameplay beats lore, but to a point. If it ends up as some abstract mutant I just won't play it.

Kind of a huge waste of a post since the game has so far proven that it's shaping up to be about TES and has an "Elder Scrollsy" type feel.

Though I don't think it is the most useful post, you can't say you actually know that. Have you seen the full extent of the game? If you haven't than it is just speculation.

That's not entirely true. They said they want to create it as an TES game (especially Skyrim.) but everything is subject to change and the game is far from done. Although I hope they stand behind their idea of making it a lot like an TES game.

From what I've heard so far, we don't have enough information to say if it will feel like Elder Scrolls. I think there is more to ES then left click to attack, right click to block. Mechanics wise, that is ALL the information there is currently.

I think I heard from some interview that that already changed. They want to make the combat more enganging and stuff. I'll look the interview up for ya to make sure.

To an extent that's true, but then I think part of it depends upon an individual's perception of truly what "TES" is and so far from everything I myself have seen, especially from what I've seen screenshot/video wise the game really seems like it has that atmospheric TES feeling to it.

Of course the like 30 or so previews/articles of peoples experiences with the game where I've read many "it feels like an Elder Scrolls game" really help to reinforce my belief.

Youtube is the worst place to bother reading comments about game trailers, just ignore the starving MMO piglets and discuss constructive things here with us.
