I don't know what, it happened after the latest patch. It will rapidly shift the fan up and down in speed. If this were a situation where it increased with greater processing needs, that'd be one thing. This does the exact opposite.

If I hit Quick Save, the fans instantly go to maximum. They wave up and down in intensity constantly as im playing, again for some reason in the least graphically intense areas.

No other games are doing this, and it doesnt seem to be causing actual performance issues.. But its really irritating me. Anyone know how I can make it stop doing that? Even having it at max speed all the time would be fine. its the shifting that bothers me.
