However, this weekend, I began adding all the houses I'm putting in down the hill heading out of town, and it seems my edits broke the navmesh going down the hill. (Don't ask me why.) Anyway, the ONLY solution I could come up with to fix it was to revert the navmesh in that cell (HelgenExterior) to its vanilla state. After that it all worked perfectly and of course the stupid errors went away. So unless one of you guru's (looks at Arthmoor) can tell me what I'm doing wrong, I'm fairly convinced I cannot drop that island below ground and add in my edits without breraking the game.
But, I still want my guard to go up there and patrol the arch, but he HAS to have a way to get back down because this is not his only patrol route and AI package. That was the whole reason for editing the navmesh in the first place, so he could come and go from up there. Otherwise I'd probably have discretely moved him up there and forgot about him.
Anyway, the only solution I can think of is to set up a way to teleport him up there, so that's what I did. he goes through a door into a "dummy cell" and out a door in the dummy cell to the arch. Is this totally stupid? (I'll probably place that door at the bottom somewhere else but I just did this to test if he would even use it)
