Post limits on the Forums....

Post » Tue Jan 29, 2013 10:19 am

OK, a couple of our hotly debated topics have hit 200 posts, whereupon the topic gets locked due to policy. I am advocating that for this area, that number gets raised. We are not discussing how to complete a quest or fix a bug in an already published game in this area--rather we are debating our various ideas on what would make the game better. We realize the Devs will ultimately decide, but we genuinely hope they are reading what we write, and accept our input as true and honest and sometimes argued over because we are trying to help in the only way we can to improve the game.

And more discussion, while not always true, is usually better discussion. Ideas get weighed and challenged. They get shaped and honed and sometimes abanodoned but at least everyone who is giving input is wrestling with the ideas.

And we do it because we love TES, and hope TESO will be a kick-ass MMORPG we all park our subscription dollars for at for a few years! :tops:

So, I am hoping we can get that limit raised.

Anyone agree? Disagree?

YAY! So far 100% of the votes agree with me!

(Addendum: By the time this got posted, the vote had swayed, and I was losing 2 - 1

Over 200 posts and the forums can become unstable. or at least that's how it used to be. Now it may just be a holdover from the bygone days /shrug. You can always make a continuation thread to keep the discussion going.

As long as the thread stays on topic a higher count would be fine.

However this is Bethesda's Site, not a privately owned one, so i think they are trying to keep the flaming, derogatory, unhelpful threads to a minimum.

I think there should be more than 200 allowed, but might as well just make a continuation topic. Its bound to be cut off somewhere; Whether its 200 or 300, (or over 9000!) might as well just make a another topic continuing the epic debate.

I voted for the same as it is now... One time I was in a discussion when apparently the mods weren't paying attention cause we got to 273 posts... So yeah it makes it hard to keep track of posts and everything

You can always just make a "Faction Lock Part 359."

I don't see the point in changing it considering you can make continuation threads.

^ Pretty much this. More than 200 posts a thread and people dont bother to actually read what's come before anyway.
