Am I missing something: Potion effect "timer"

Post » Wed Jan 30, 2013 7:52 am

Ok I've been playing this game since 11/11/11 and something has been bugging me from day one. But I have never seen anyone else mention this, so maybe I'm missing something.

Is there some sort of visual "timer" that shows you how long potions are in effect? Remember in Oblivion; you'd drink a potion and there would be a little icon at the top of the screen that would show you how long your potion is "in effect".

Why doesn't Skyrim have this? Or does it? I hate not knowing if my potion has worn off or not.

I think your character develops some sort of aura (visual effect) on him until the potion`s effects wear of, but I`m not sure.

Yep, that about sums it up. Nothing for first person players.

People are asking for a mod to do this, so it is not built into the game. If some of the exisitng HUD mods have not added this, then it may not be possible.

I played earlier TES games not knowing there was a potion effect timer, but after I knew it was there, it was handy.
