Very few people respond to things in Skyrim like the civil war for instance only about 5 people know that it's over everyone else still goes on about it. Npcs still say things like "Well you better hope this war ends soon) now i realize that the stormcloaks (or imperials) are not totally gone but the war is!

It's annoying, I just pretend we're preparing to war with the Thalmor and restore their pride to goodness, not for themselves.

"So you're the new member of the Companions... whaddaya do, fetch the mead?"

It's funny when you're new. It's silly when you're frickin' Harbinger.

I just pretend the guards are drunk or have serious memory term-loss.
