What is the exact year the game will take pace, I understand a thousand years before Skyrim...but expand.

Well if you go to the ESO website under http://elderscrollsonline.com/en/game-guide/storyit tells you "Four years ago, in 2E 578,"

So... I'd say add 4 years to that.
