A facebook idea

Post » Sat Feb 02, 2013 4:13 am

Hello elderscroll fans and developers hear me out.

I have a humble little wish today.
Sometimes its annoying in mmos and stuff when i lvl up and stuff there is no good feeling to it , its like you level up and nobody cares. So i want that to change with elder scrolls online that u can link ur facebook account to the game and it will share everytime u make lvl in the game and all of friends and family will know it.
I not only think this is important to the game i think its must, its a important thing to keep being social in the game and not just run around like a bunch of sheeps and chickenwings and do tasks.

I think that if you did it it will bring more people to the game and be inspired by you, its not only a good way to get more friends you can also share your interests with others.
And i also would like to see screenshot system u can upload to bookface but the most important thing is that u can share everytime u lvl and maybe everytime u get rare itemm or die somewhere or defeat boss .

Please come with me and support i have spent some time with this thinking.

Thx

PS i love the elderscrolls

How exactly would such a feature encourage socializing? You level up, everyone sees it, most people give you a quick "gz" and that's it.
And once you have enough facebook friends playing ESO, gettign anotificatione very time one fo them levels up, dies, gets a rare item etc. will soon clog up your news feed and you will be very annoyed with the feature.

This sort of thing is why I never allow apps to publish to facebook :brokencomputer:

I won't be using facebook for, well, anything game-related...as I'm not solely a collector of gamer friends on facebook. Everyone else (non-gamer) getting spammed with this sort of stuff would be all

You call your boss "Sorry, can't come into work today I am ... er .. not feeling well"
"Ok well get some rest"

Boss checks Facebook.

Ding Level 47 'grats man!' 'lulz called in sick at werk boss is such a looser'
Ding level 48 'grats bro!' 'thanks brah, gonna call in sick tomoz as well, gotta hit 50. sooo not goin to werk and dat place svcks anyway rofl'

I don't believe I need to continue with how this will end. Otherwise it's a great idea! ...for some, just not for me ;)

Yeah thats exactly what I was thinking and then I would have to explain to my Mom what the game is all about and that could be painful indeed, if they add this feature I sure hope there is a way to turn it off or I will most likely be closing my facebook account..

Every level? That would get annoying really friggin' quick.

An alternate solution might be to publish 'milestones', say the first time you hit level 10, 20, 30, etc. You could do the same with a couple major quests.

Facebook integration isn't a bad idea, it just has the potential to go very wrong if you overdo it.

The Social Aspect for this game will be on the forum boards that will be set up for this game. What that entails remains to be seen.

I for one tell Facebook as little as possible about me, so I don't think I will be telling it about my gaming.

to be kind of honest with you, I find this idea brilliant! can you imagine what more there is to achiev? why only limit yourself to facebook - wouldn't you like a screenshot posted on your facebook/twit straight from your gameplay? and for example sms to your friends so they gonna get envy of your sky rocket progress? you not only inspire them but also show what they lose while hanging out with girlfriends or making money. of course, being social is one of the most important things for humanity - and can you imagine, how many possibilities it gives: start a donation and half of the world is watching you, advancing etc. they would most definately save couple of continents

Absolutely. I avoid linking any gaming sites at all to my Facebook account.

Yeah i get what u mean a little but dont t u think it would be cool to atleast well i think it would be good if people were abit more openminded with their family , caus too many people dont tell family stuff including gaming but in the end , is it really that bad ?
Its kinda safer this way for both u and parents they will know what u are doing and they can support you for what u are doing and everybody ahppy about it. If you were doing something they dont support , they would know wich is nicer in th end.

Peace
