Guild Emblems : Othor Games

After looking at this wallpaper, http://elderscrollsonline.com/en/media/wallpapers/255 I got to thinking about guild emblems and how they could make a bunch of unique ones by giving us a bunch of different background, borders, emblems, etc and then let you make your own from all the different choices. Also if they have an in game store they could have even more choices for sale in their store.

In DAoC guild emblems were a huge thing and you could tell right away who belonged to what guild with just a glance.

I'd rather have them cost a large amount of in game gold.

I wan to get my own one, something like you can upload a bitmap or so and this is you gulde emblem.

The only reason I added the shop idea is because most MMO's seem to have one now days, though I am like you all I hate the damn things with a passion!

If they had to have a shop that is the type of item I would like to see in the shop because its not game breaking or pay to win...

Did the guild masters / guild leaders pick an emblem from a list of ingame ones (made by the devs) or could they make/customize their own?

Such stuff is no stuff for store sales ... While it was pretty normal in DAoC or GuildWars to have guild emblemed cloaks it should also be for free in TESO.

I don't like the idea about uploads like in AION. I don't really like it if some players suddenly appear with some manga-bikini-girls on their cloak. It just destroys the ingame feeling.

It was so long ago now I can hardly remember but I think it was a system much like I said in the OP, where you had choices for background, borders, emblems, etc and there was also a fairly hefty in game gold cost to make one I think....

The emblem you made in DAoC could be put on tabards, shields, capes, and standards and there may have been a few more like a flag for your guild house...so long ago now I can hardly remember.

You are right. If there is a cash shop, I'd rather have that kind of thing over weapons and armor.

Definitely an Argonian on the right. I can't tell you what the guy with the great sword is for certain, but a Nord is a good guess.

That's how it looked like in my first mmo with the emblems it was over your head and we never had a problem with half naked bikini manga girls

in DAoC there was teh "guild outfit" too. pratically dying your gear with your guild colors (absolutely loved it :wub:

) . Guilds in DAoC were a really huge thing and if you were in a strong one, sometimes you could see enemy guild parties tring to avoid confrontations.

hopefully we'll have a huge variety of emblems. probably faction based.

My god. Ragnarok online. loved that game. played it for 6 years. levelling and gearing up in 1x/1x/1x servers did take months. :wub:
