Downsides to your skills

Do you have any skills that have downsides to them?

One skill that I inherited from my mother was a photographic memory. It allows me to memorize particular things that I have experienced. To make a long story short, this translates to an ability to have a sort of "mental" recording of movies, TV shows, various aspects of games, etc... . Sadly, my downside comes from getting depressed due to the fact I go to load up a movie, TV show, or game and instantly remember the experience. This causes me to not want to load up anything since I can just replay it in my head.

I'm a pretty extreme perfectionist, which sometimes at work is a bad thing. Something that would take a normal person 20 minutes takes me an hour because it has to be absolutely perfect, even if perfection isn't critical to the task at hand. It's a great thing to have when you are doing something like machine work on an expensive racing block, or grinding an expensive billet crank, but not when you're just putting together a mild street motor, where tolerances are pretty loose. But hey, you take the good with the bad.

I make connections between things in my mind. It allows me to remember things easily and makes lateral thinking easy but I can get confused and go off on a tangent and have trouble retracing my steps back to the original subject.
