Gaming PC Help

Hello. I'm sorry in advance if this is in the wrong section.

My xbox is getting pretty old now, but instead of getting the next gen when it's released, I'm thinking of going for a gaming laptop.
Problem is, I'm not really sure what to look for just yet besides the basics. Let me start off by saying that I know gaming desktops are better, but portability is one of the reasons I'm thinking of getting a pc, since I tend to travel a lot.

Anyway, in my seach, I heard some good things about the Toshiba Qosmio.

Would this computer be able to play Skyrim at moderate/high quality with some mods?

Are there better options out there that aren't too expensive? I'd rather not spend much more that $1000 (the Qosmio really is at the top of my budget).

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

You'll be able to play Skyrim on max settings with that laptop. It seems like a pretty good deal to me.
