Eos Trading System - DONT RUIN IT!

Post » Sun Feb 03, 2013 4:26 pm

I know it is too late to say, but Please, do not make a global auction house like in Diablo 3 or wow!
It completely ruins the feeling of trading, which is really important. For example I only Played diablo 2, because the trading system was awesome, without any global control. In Diablo3 there are well known prices for every item with every stat, and you cannot do a "good bargain" or anything. But if there is no global trading, if you are clever, you can make a lot of wealth.

AND MAKE THE GOLD WORTH A LOT!!!! not like in the other games in which players run around with millions of gold..

Maybe there could be local auction houses in big towns, but not for everything, and every town's auction house would differ, for example different items would be cheaper or more expensive in one city than in another. Maybe for craft materials, etc, but not for unique weapons and armor. Because if thousands of players use the A.H., then there everything will be available for monotonous mouse clicking..

I suspect there will be a trading outpost of some sort, not an auction house, which is faction locked. I also suspect there to be a "black market" which you can sell through to other factions with a huge penalty of some sort

What game are you coming from? RS? That's outdated. I don't see any reason to spend extra time trying to get rid of my junk when there's someone out there that treasures it. This whole "bargaining" concept you talk about is in other words scamming. There's going to be set prices regarless of AH or no AH, it all depends on how informed the user is on prices. Taking advantage of lack of knowledge to make more money sounds an awful lot like a scam.

As long as they do not add the real money auction house like Diablo 3 has then we really have nothing to worry about, the game designer who thought up the concept of buying your way to victory in an ARPG should be banned from ever designing another game again, period. It is without a doubt in my mind the most idiotic thing I have ever seen a developer do to a perfectly good game franchise...and it would be worse then it was in D3 in an MMO.

And the whole reason you needed millions of gold to buy an item in the game gold auction house in D3 was the fact that Blizzard allowed gold selling in the real money auction house, as soon as you do that the economy is completely blown out of proportion and the game is all over ....
