Freezing, infinite loading screens, inconsistent FPS

Post » Sun Feb 03, 2013 1:26 pm

When I purchased the DLC, I got the same problems with the previous. I get crashes rather somewhat commonly. The game could just stop 100% with no noise or indication of it working. I could also get a crash during a battle. I hear messed up sound effects, but thats just about it. New to the lineup, I get loading screens that literally take forever to load. I've waited up to two minutes to leave a house, so being not patient isn't the problem. And out of nowhere, my games FPS goes to 0 every 5-30 seconds without anything at all going on, just me walking. I have turned off auto saving for everything except for the character menu, and that does not work. Any help is accepted.

You turn off ALL autosaving if you are having trouble, because the game will struggle to autosave anything. Unfortunately the delayed sound effects is an old problem that is just getting worse each time they add more to the game. The stuttering, crashes, and extremely long loading times that often fail to load are a resources problem. We are waiting for Bethesda to come up with yet another patch to have yet another go at fixing the problem. The 1.8 patch got the game running better till Dragonborn was added. To play Dragonborn you would need to clear the system cache, uninstall all DLC if it is still there and the game if you have it installed and then install the game, patch and all the DLC again for a nice clean install of the game that can hopefully find its brains. That is only a temporary solution, after you have played for a while the problems are bound to return, you would do the same thing again.
I would back up your saves just in case, but the cleaning should not delete your saves. I have not personally done it yet, but will have to eventually.

There would be instructions around here somewhere for doing all that, since it is Bethesda's official solution to the problem of their game not working.

I've never cleared the system cache, nor have I had problems that serious.

All of the problems I've had in skyrim, then dawnguard, then this add on, have been typical ones that most xbox 360 players have.

I'd really not bother to do all that stuff, unless you absolutely have to do so.

I only have some small freezes, while running around in the new area mainly.

As far as infinite loading screens, I've only had about 3 since I started playing this DLC; I expect this by now, with a Bethesda Skyrim product
(absolutely, bar none, the most buggy game(s) I've ever played in existence (on the xbox 360, or even on computers.)

I already accidently killed the main guy, having no idea that the quest I stumbled on to actually led to that. So then I respecced and stuff some; It was good to get out the first few points I did not need in the "heavy armor" tree (being WAYYY over the cap), as well as the one point I had inserted in novice destruction and other spell trees(mainly melee, using a ring and a necklace to switch to for dead thrall summoning even ), as a newb.

I've actually been surprised at how this expansion really caused no further problems for me, nor did I not really have further problems with
Dawnguard for the most part. The dawnguard patch is in fact what FIXED my game; Prior to the dawnguard and that patch, I could not
even enter my house in Markarth (where all my stuff was! )
