is there anything else to do with dragon kill leftovers?

Post » Mon Feb 04, 2013 1:13 am

I've got more souls, bones, and scales than I know what to do with. Everyone has dragon gear, I have more souls than I can use for shouts, and perk resset is kinda lame. Is there anything else I can use this junk for to make killing dragons fun again?

The only things I know of are:

(1) Esbern's potion (if you haven't had him make it for you already)
(2) Crafting Shrines of Talos in any home you've purchased in Hearthfire

Esbern won't talk to me since I won't kill parthy. And I've already built shrines in all three homes =(

I agree, I had a high level character with something like 20+ unused souls and it starts to feel a bit silly. I wish you could use them in enchanting. Maybe then I'd get my much wanted augment destruction enchantment (just just reduce cost)...

I'm currently sitting on 36 souls... and almost 100 bones and scales scattered around skyrim in my many houses.

The souls can be used for respecting perks in Apocrypha, but that's only if your gamer moral fiber will allow it.

And even then that's one of the lamest uses for souls ever.... and still leaves me with enough scales and bones to outfit a small army in dragonbone and scale armor and weapons and then use them to conquer skyrim and get back that damn jagged crown that looks better with dragonscale armor than the dragonscale helm does.

If I played on the computer id probably get bored and make my own city designed to look like it was carved from the bones of the dragon armies I've killed. And then equip the guards in dragon armor. And weapons. And lead a campaign to conquer all of skyrim. Its not like I wouldn't have time. I've got nothing but time.. wish there was something useful for the dragon stuff. At the start of the game I was like "yay! Dragon souls for shouts, bones and scales for gear, and a difficult fight!" Now I'm like "meh. Dragon. Dragonrend. Slash slash. Occasional kill cam. Another damn dragon soul. More bones and scales. Time to add them to the hording stash."

You know I think its high time you started with a new character. I've even played through the whole game with the same types of characters - same names, even! No point resting on your laurels even after the hard work. Play as something else.

Did Bethesda fix Esbern's Potion? I never bothered to get it after my first character since it didn't work. :(

Outfit every possible follower with a full compliment of Dragonbone and Dragonscale Armor weapons two of each 1H Dragonbone weapon and one of each two hand and bow, and then 1000 Dragonbone Arrows.

I bet you'll run out then.

Why not outfit all your (favourite) followers with dragonborn/scale armor and weaps. Also rpec some perk trees and try using some skills you previousley didn't.

Nope. It annoys me everytime I bother but nope. You do the mission and get the potion, drink it and... and nothing. PC users can add it using console commands apparently but for those of us on xbox, it just doesn't work.

Have been considering this. Thinking about making a dunmer or nord vampire/dragon priest character geared in miraaks gear and use spells or something. Haven't used a mage before. Maybe a bow for distance and sword/spell combo for closer.
