well, i just looked on the UESP wiki and i see the riekling "spear" is actually just a damn arrow!

wow... did bethesda REALLY just troll everyone who was hoping to find spears?

calling an arrow a "spear" is like calling a crossbow a ballista.

so, is that it, then? there are absolutely no spears in the game? just arrows bethesda decided to troll us with?

...and here i was hoping for the spear of the hunter and spear of bitter mercy to make their return.

Correct, no PC playable spear.

You have to keep in mind the community assumes stuff based on leaks and datamined info, so its bound to be occasionally wrong. Beth never promised spears, rideable dragons or PC where bears. We thought it was likely based on fragments of data we got in the previous patch. At most Id hazard its likely spears and freeride dragons were once considered as potential features, but we cant even be sure of that.

Nonetheless, this DLC delivers by all accounts. Its by no means trolling the playerbase.

Every time someone posts in these forums about (1) werebears; (2) spears; or (3) dragonriding, God kills a kitten.

Please, think of those poor kittens....

bethesda knows followers of the series especcially long time fans wanted spears back and for the most part where interested in becoming a werebear or at least having the option there, as for dragon riding i imagine a minority of old time fans have wanted dragon riding for a while but i believe its mostly something newcomers to the series wanted. and you know what they where smart aleks about it they included those things all right but only at a bare minimum. there are spears but they are short and your forced to use them as arrows. there are werebears but you cant become one they're just sort of there.you can sit on the back of a dragon but the only thing you can control is when you climb on the dragon when you get off and when you attack but only when enemies are around. bethesda should do at least something more with those things.

Sorry op, its just annoying hearing nothing but werebears this, spears that. No, there are no useable spears unless you count using them as arrows.

So you don't yet have the DLC, but you are mad about something you read, so you figured it would be a good idea to just start yet another thread about spears, without bothering to look for an existing one in which to rant?

And since we warn people for calling other members trolls, s it's hardly acceptable to accuse the developer of "trolling". (Also, please learn what trolling actually is.) mkay?
