Complete list of spider recipees and effects

Post » Mon Feb 04, 2013 5:06 am

Hi. I wanted to make a complete list of all the possible spider combinations and their effects. So ill post what I have so far, and if you have any others post them and ill update our list!

Exploding Frost Spider 2X: Flawless Sapphire+Damaged Albino Spider Pod. Dead spider on ground which explodes when an enemy gets too close.
Exploding Shock Spider: Amethyst+Damaged Albino Spider Pod. Dead spider on ground which explodes when an enemy gets too close.
Exploding Shock Spider 2X: Flawless Amethyst+ Damaged Albino Spider Pod. I'm assuming it just makes a second spider.
Frost Cloaked Spider 2X: Flawless Saphire+Salt Pile+Albino Spider Pod. Tosses a frost cloaked spider that will apply ice damage to enemies that get too close.
Jumping Frost Spider: Sapphire+Albino Spider Pod. Tosses a frost spider that will launch itself at nearby enemies and explode if it lands near them.
Jumping Frost Spider 2X: Flawless Saphire+Albino Spider Pod. Same as above, but 2 spiders are made (I think).
Jumping Poison Spider: Emerald+Albino Spider Pod. Tosses a poison spider on ground that launches itself at nearby enemies and explodes if it lands near them.
Jumping Shock Spider: Amethyst+Albino Spider Pod. Tosses a shock spider that will launch itself at enemies and explode.
Jumping Shock Spider 2X: Flawless Amethyst+Albino Spider Pod. Same as above, but two.
Mind Control Spider: Any Soul Gem+Albino Spider Pod. Creatures and people this spider attaches to will fight for you for 30 seconds.
Poison Cloaked Spider: Emerald+Salt Pile+Albino Spider Pod. Poison cloaked spider that wil poison enemies that get too close.
Jumping Flame Spider: Ruby+Albino Spider Pod. Tosses a jumping flame spider that will launch itself at nearby enemies and explode.
Exploding Flame Spider: Ruby+Damaged Albino Spider Pod. Tosses a dead flame spider on ground that explodes when enemies get too close.
Flame Cloaked Spider: Ruby+Salt Pile+Albino Spider Pod. Tosses a flame cloaked spider that will cause fire damage to enemies that get too close.
Oil Spider: Dwarven Oil+Albino Spider Pod. This spider secrets a flamable oil when scared.

So far that's all I have found. Also, these spiders are stored in your scroll section of your inventory (which I was unable to find for like five minutes lol)

I saw someone mention oil spiders somewhere, but I don't know if you can make them?

No prob. I figured id seen threads about the machine and whatnot but no ones tried to compile a complete list of recipees and effects. And I wanted a complete list so I didn't have to waste all my pods lol. But I was perfectly happy using them to experiment with what gems I had.

Edit: oil spiders huh? Id assume to use dwarven oil. Off to the dwemer ruins I go to find some and test this out!

Awesome, thanks! I'll go round up the ingredients to get the effects for them and update the list! pack spider sounds like a packmule, and glow spider sounds like a replacement for having to cast candlelight constantly. both sound awesome! not sure what oil spiders do. we shall see soon!

unfortunatly i was unable to get any results for the glow spider, oil spider, or pack spider. Not sure if my game is bugged or those recipes were just incorect, but i was unable to make those three spiders =(

I got the oil spider recipe to work. No idea why the glow and pack spider recipes aren't working. Anyone else have anything to add on those two??

That's depressing. I was so excited to not have to constantly cast candlelight in dungeons...

Since I think Mardoxx was quoted on that bit, it could be from lines he or a colleague pulled out of the game file(s), perhaps coded for but ultimately not implemented.

I was bummed when the two spiders didn't work, but at least the oil works! I love this, it's like having a Skyrim version of Pikmin. I'm still curious as to what that "pack" spider would have been about.

I'm thinking the pack spider was like a pack mule. Storage!

and you can light oil fires on enemies whenever you want no more hoping theres mysterious and convinient oil spills in your next dungeon just bring an oil spider. also is it just me or does the oil spider look sorta cute?

Given that I'm arachnophobic not really. They terrify me. Im trying to use them to get past it lol. But i do agree the oil spider seems the least terrifying of them..
