Any new methods for smithing?

Now that we have these new armor sets introduced, has anyone felt that there are any better combos for leveling up?

Do you mean experience gained vs material cost vs end-piece price?
If so, consider most Nordic Weapons and Carved Nordic Armors off the table.
- The armors need Ebony, Quicksilver, Steel and Leather strips.
- Weapons are the same, save for the Nordic Bow: 1 Quicksilver + 3 Steel = 580 septim bow. Not bad.

Chitin has 2 worth considering.
- Chitin Armor: 1 Netch Leather + 2 Iron + 5 Chitin = 240 septim cuirass
- Chitin Shield: 1 Netch Leather + 1 Iron + 4 Chitin = 215 septim shield

Bonemold wouldn't be very profitable but the crafting bonus may be worth the trade.
And Stahlrim is so rare...you'll get a big skill gain when crafting but you won't be crafting often.

All in all, for crafting experience and materials vs sales margin, I'd stick with Nordic Bows, Chitin Cuirasses and Chitin Shields.
The materials are readily available and your skill should rise nicely.

But it's still hard to beat spamming Dwarven Bows for Smithing experience and profit.
Hope that helps
