Is there anyway to buy a Bristleback without starting the MQ : V

I haven't gotten the dlc yet but i just saw you can and this would be awesome with my Wood Elf. Can you buy a rideable Bristleback without starting the MQ?

I don't remember the Main Quest being related to Bristlebacks at all. I know there's a quest for some Reiklings where you can get a temporary Bristleback follower, but that's just to lead it to the Reikling pen; it is most certainly not mountable.

Whoever made the UESP page. I've done nearly every quest, only one I haven't done was for finding a dude's werewolf brother, but I've done the Nikulas quest and no option to buy a Bristleback was present.

Even if it was, to do any quests in the Skaal Village, you have to progress in the main quest unfortunately. You'll have to have the bend will shout at least to free up the villagers.

If you count dragons as a "mount". Other then that, nope.

Yeah, not one single new mount (I do not consider Dragons as mounts), but I'm OK with that since I never use mounts anyway. They're more of a hassle than anything useful.

Speaking of Riekling riding Bristlebacks, anyone experiencing bugs when you fight them? Usually they charge me, then after that they just stare at me doing nothing lol

Oh, a Riekling Dragonborn would be so awesome!
Would be even better than Horkerborn.

I love those little guys. Talking to the chief reveals they think Solstheim is the world. "We live everywhere in world, surrounded by big water."
So I took one of those little guys for a tour of Skyrim, showed him the cities, the Throat of the World.
Then I took him back to the Mead Hall. Is he gonna have some stories to tell

So the UESP is wrong? How did the author get it posted if it is wrong? Has anyone tried Bend Will shout on a Bristleback and then try to ride it? Wood Elves are small in stature, as am I, a Breton. Can someone try it and then post a reply, please? :shrug:

lol It's essentially a wiki. Because everything is in disarray with people trying to figure stuff out, nobody on there has verified whether or not you can ride boars.
