Did i read that right? Karstag Only three times?

Post » Mon Feb 04, 2013 7:20 am

I know it would be overpowered to do it multiple times but only three? Why not make it so you have to wait a week? Or maybe i read it wrong?

I both agree and was about to suggest the same idea. A week cooldown would be fine. That or make it like the stones and have to run back and get it after every use. That was a large fight to only get three uses. Granted the satisfaction of killing him was much more of a reward.

3 times total is fine with me. He is severely overpowered and being able to summon him is simply a cool novelty. I've been trying to think of fun times in the game to summon him. Might do it during the Siege of Windhelm quest XD

Agreed. Ive killed him maybe 6 times allready. It would be cool if he respawned like other encounters, but then you get three more uses.

On a side note it was awesome to fight him by using:

Stahlrim armor
Duelwield stahlrim swords
Dragon aspect
Flame cloak
elemental fury

I was thinking that as well. Its a shame its only 120 seconds. If it were like the dragon summoning shouts where they go away once defeated/enemies gone I would have been much more satisfied.

The ebony warrior might take another of my 3 uses. Assuming I can't defeat him on my own. I don't plan to use OP gear. Maybe not even Daedric

Yep. Only three times. Ever.

But considering that he's a summon that can pretty much clear out an entire town by himself, three times should be all that you need.

I'd like to just say after a lot of thought, I kind of like the fact that you only get to use him 3 times. It makes the choice all the harder on your character to decide if its neccisary. I may use it a few times and reload to see how crazy it is exactly, but I think I'll need truly worthy opponents to unleash a trump card like that on them.

Imagine how op it'd be if all you had to do was wait 7 in game days to spawn one of the most powerful enemies in the game. One that makes two dremora lords look like skeever.

Only three times.
I like it.

Its like in the fairytales. You only get three wishes, you only get to rub the lamp three times, never look back!
It hails pleasantly with the human recognition for things that end, for the wish to have more and he is a really powerful beast.
This time, Im using him against Alduin and Miraak. Havent decided on the third.
Awesome.

Just save before you use the last summon and you can enjoy him as much as you want.

I'll probably only use him once: against the Ebony Warrior when I reach lvl 81 (I'm lvl 67 now).

Thats a good idea, thanks. I'll save first, since I'd rather the fight between miraak and I to be mono y mano.
