? on Chaos Damage Enchantment

Post » Sun Feb 03, 2013 11:53 pm

When it says 50% on its enchantment does it mean the Weapon has a 50% chance to do that extra damage?

Also where can I find the other Chaos Enchantment that does the 50% absorb health, stamina, and magicka on it?

Also does the elemental chaos damage benefit from the augmented element perks?

As far as i know the chaos enchantment has a 50% chance of each element, meaning that theres 3 rolls each with a 50% chance of success.

So if your lucky you can do all three types of damage. I assume it will benefit from the augmented element perks since it seems to benefit from using a stalhrim weapon (gives a bonus to frost), but i havent tryed it.

The health/stamina/magicka version seems to be a unique item that cant be disenchanted (Dwarven Black Bow of Fate).

It has separate 50% chances of doing each type of damage so it could do all three at once, none at all, just one, or a combination of two. The enchantment benefits from both the elemental enchanting perks and the elemental augmented destruction perks. Furthermore the perks all synergize with each other and boost each other so be prepared for some ridiculous damage. I dual enchanted a bow with chaos damage and shock damage and it did 283 damage for the chaos part and 182 damage for the shock part. Keep in mind the 283 damage can occur three times in one hit if all three elements fire off. It also buffs with absorb health as I made a bow that did 283 chaos and 118 absorb health. There is a chaos enchantment for absorb health/stamina/magicka but I have only seen it on a unique bow that can't be disenchanted. Let me know if you find that on any weapon that can be disenchanted.

Yes, you don't have to believe me though just create the weapon without the perks then save your game then create the weapon with the perks. You will see the diffference yourself. Also keep in mind that the weapon damage will get ridiculous if you use the enchantment along with the alchemy/enchanting loop so it might make the game boring for you if you do that.

I told you the wrong order. You will waste a sould gem doing it the way I said. Do this instead so you don't waste materiels.
1 - Save the game without perks selected
2 - craft the weapon without perks and look at the numbers
3 - go back to the save you made
4 - select the perks
5 - craft the weapon and notice the new damage vs the one you noted.
6 - go back to the save and proceed from there with what way you want to go.
