Quest - The Gardener of Men

Might contain some spoilers....

This is by far one of the hardest quests I have ever come across. I read the black book, walked through a long tube and made it to chapter two. I activated a 'scrye' and the bridges folded out and it was then I was greeted by three entire Seekers. I can barely kill one and even then I had help from town people and my follower. This time I was all alone against three of them...

I could really use some tips/hints on how to get past them. They can kill me in a few hits and I can barely deal any damage to them.

Some more information would be nice. Your level, your "class", etc etc. What options do you have?

You could just run past them, click the switch, run to the book and go to the next chapter. But your going to run into more seekers later in the book.

Well, I am a level 17 'battlemage'(destruction, one-handed, alteration, a little bit of restoration as well). Lightning spells in my left hand and a sword/dagger in my right. I might have a healing spell in my left hand in case I am low on health. I usually use Fire/Ice breath as shouts and have a fleshspell activated from time to time too.

Health is 150 and Magicka is 290(280 perhaps).

Oh and I use light/cloth armour.

17 is a little low, the DLC is pretty tough below level 20.
Best thing I have found is magic resistance. Spells don't do much so you end up running out of magicka, three words of fire breath hardly hurt them, can't sneak as they seem to aim their spell at you even with the eye closed, so it's a case of having enough spell resistance to survive until your melee attacks have slowly chipped away at them. Haven't tried myself, but maybe wards/ward absorb were made for enemies like this. Or a canny mixture of conjuration and cowardice.

My advice is to return to skyrim until you have reached a higher level. Btw fire seems to be allmost useless against most enemies in solstheim (so you may wanna use something else then firebreath).

Try using a summoned atronach. Shock does not work very well on the seekers, but firebolts / fireballs do, especially when you dual wield the firebolts. If you summon a atronach, go with the elemental that you have. Fire with fire. You can also do sneak with a bound bow, but you have to put a couple of points into archery and get that one perk that is in sneak that has to do with bows. I went through at level 24 and played at apprentice and had some trouble, but not to much because the fire atronach helped alot and so didn't dual casting firebolts. Hope that helps.
