Miraak's Sword

Do you like Miraak's Sword?

Spoiler
Personally I love this sword but I think it could have been a little more unique for example doing additional poison damage like the other tentacle in the DLC. Here are my pros and cons about his sword

Pros
Base damage is very high if not the best for a 1h sword
Tentacle effect is awesome
Very light at only 3 pounds!

Cons
Un-unique enchantment (Absorb 15 points of stamina)
Weak enchantment charge (very few charges and only takes a pretty soul gem to refill)

Over all its a nice sword and would be a good back-up weapon for a mage but it certainly could have used a larger charge and maybe do some poison damage imo.

Enchantment not withstanding, it's the best one-handed sword in the game. It even beats Daedric and Dragon Bone in terms of damage. It only weighing as much as a dagger is another huge bonus.

It's enchantment is useless, but that doesn't bother me too much. I would prefer it to just be unenchanted son we could use elemental fury.

While poison effect would be difficult, maybe an absorb health or damage health enchantment could have been better. But many things suffer from bad enchantments, and as I hardly use enchanted weapons, I'm not that concerned. But yeah, could have been better.

The sword itself is awesome, but the enchantment is disapointing, not even useful. It's also a leveld item, which svcks even more. I think you have to be around levels 45-50 to get the best version. It would also be nice if it had more reach because of the tendril.

Is it leveled? I thought only Miraak's Mask was leveled.

I like the sword but I dislike that it's named "Miraak's Sword". It's obviously an artifact given by Hermaeus Mora, not something Miraak crafted.

Yes.

Gripe: wish the tentacle effect actually extended the sword's range. This could easily, easily be done with a quick stat tweak.

it looks awesome, the stamina absorption is pretty lame, absorb health would probably have been better.

Absorb health makes anything better. Hell, I was able to beat down Morag Tong assassins in the Ash Citadel(was that the name of the place?) with just a wooden sword because it had 13 points of absorb health.

One of my favorite swords (love the moving tentacles on it).

Yes, because finishing moves just look so sick with the tentacle effect.

When it releases on PC, someone will find a version without the enchantment and we'll be able to use the player.additem command to get a clean version and enchant it.
And even though we play Xbox, we'll just be able to port our saves to PC and use it.

I do not use enchanted weapons, so Miraak's sword is always displayed in a home for the PCs that already completed the MQ (looks awesome though).

Does anybody have a video or clip of this finisher?

Last I checked I couldn't find any. The only time I saw someone do a finisher it was just the lame overhead chop you do to reiklings.

I'd rather call it a dagger. But it seems good for specific characters, Not me however

So much this. I want to do the same to Miraak's Mask, too.

Can you also alter armor values? Because you can't upgrade the mask, so I want to at least alter it to make it powerful.

Yes, that's an easy 2-minute tweak in the Creation Kit. Same for the sword range. It takes less time to do this than the time that the Creation Kit requires to actually load.
Or, something (very slightly) more intricate - you can easily create a temper recipe for the mask.

I was about to say, lol.
Do you know if there's a console command way? 'Cause when you port over to PC from Xbox and back, Creation Kit changes (obviously lol) don't stick. As far as I know.
