with my first character i do the mq in dragonborn so fast. that was like god no more miraak ???.with my second vampire character create him only for doing vampire faction stuff from dawnguard.but i start the mq of dragonborn but when i purify the stones n the shaman tell me to go see neloth i stop theyre. no interest for me to continue the mq of dragonborn with my vampire at this point.so i return to skyrim doing vampire mission n sometimes got attack by a dragon n miraak appear n he took his soul. too cool. i kill them he took their soul that a cool tag team.

i hated miraak so effing much for that reason, took me 3-4 dragons to advance the quest when i was trying to unlock final word of bend will because that little effer kept stealing the souls. i guess the plus side is you get whatever he stole in the end.

I think his stealing your souls was a great touch though, kinda makes you hate him a little more if you're on a new character that needs the souls. kinda like a seemingly all powerful enemy is just playing with you in his spare time.

Miraak is basically the bully who watches you achieve all your goals and you're about to get the one thing your heart desires the most and he comes in out of the blue and pushes you to the ground and takes it and you can't do anything about it.

but i dont need dragon soul my vampire only kill peoples. so yeah in some way miiraak n i we are in the same team. so he can take all those soul. too cool to see him appear n take them.

Easier to understand version of what I said.

You earn your stuff, Miraak comes in at the last second and takes all of it and all you can do is wait til you cut him open.

No tag teaming going on only Miraak being a thief.
