Riekling followers showing up uninvited

Post » Mon Feb 04, 2013 12:41 pm

I typically don't use followers very much but I decided to try the Riekling followers to see what they were like. I had one for a few quests and eventually got tired of it so I dismissed him.

Ever since then random Rieklings occassionally show up and follow my PC-typically in a dungeon or similar environment. I don't get any dialog option when I try to talk to them. They fight for me like a regular follower would but they don't follow me everywhere I go. I'm on the Xbox.

Anyone else have this happen? I've had it happen everywhere not just Solsteim.

There was a thread about this here a few weeks ago....I can't find it, but they were saying that their Riekling follower even showed up in Skyrim! The ones I had following my character did not have any dialogue options, so I could not send them home. I never knew when they would show up to back me up in a fight. It was random, from my character's experience.

Yeah, it's random. They just show up to help you out sometimes.

Three of them show up sometimes to help you out in battles. They usually go away after the battle is over.

I am glad to see them when they do show up. There hasn't been any situation yet where they were in the way or ruined any battles for my character as they fight from a distance most of the time. They are pretty accurate with their little spears!

Yeah, I'm not complaining; they occasionally come charging in like a little blue cavalry and bail me out.

Just kill them.

I kill every Reikling I can find just so that there is no chance that they'll follow me.

I really dislike them, and I don't know why. For some reason they just annoy the piss outta me...

They show up in Skyrim.
Little Stow-aways.

Did I mention the little hairless [censored]balls killed Gunjar the Carriage driver, and then the Necromancer down the hill reanimated him?
Oddly enough I killed the Whitestag at Lakeview, when some Beastmasters attaked me and the Stag's corspe hasnt left.
I also found Balbus' ashes.
