Could the Blades have been wrong about the dragonborn?

After playing Dragonborn for a bit i couldnt help but ask myself is our dragonborn *The Dragonborn* who was supposed to slay Alduin and lead the blades into a new era ( as seen in Alduins Wall ) or a reincarnation of *The Guardian* who kept a balance between Men and Dov? I find it very fishy that Miraak appears at this time with the return of the dragons and all at the same time he wants to kill us ( use us ) as a way to leave Apocrypha. Also if you beat Skyrims main quest you all know Alduins souls is never Absorbed by you this could mean you were not the one chosen to slay him. The relation between you , Parthurnaax , Odahviin and Durneviir also makes me question about this as the Guardian is said to have been fair with both mortals and dovs and was respected by both. so my quesstion is Could The Prophecy be Misread? Were the blades wrong? i find this quite fascinating!

If he wasn't he wouldn't have claimed Auriel's bow or the Elder Scrolls for that matter.Every choice you make, Daedra and Aedra support you. You're very special/
