If we can put books on a shelf, why can't we put things on a

Bethesda has figured out a way to place books on a book shelf, something I greatly appreciate and they have figured out a way to make weapons and shields display on a wall or in a rack. So I am asking, Bethesda, can you please figure out a way for us to place items on shelves and in display cases in the same manner? I'd love to display my Ewer from the Wayshrines quest and my Elder Scrolls, and my Dragon Priest Mask collection. There has to be a way to make that happen...please?

I would love to be able to activate a shelf and have a message that reads: "You can place three items on this shelf." (Or something similar.)

Please? Pretty Please? With Sugar on It?

Not really, Books come in only a few sizes and the shelves hold a fixed number of books regardless of the size. It wouldn't translate well into other items. Any display for other kinds of items would have to be designed to hold only those items, it simply doesn't work the display cases we have already have issues trying to make the system more complex is just asking for trouble.
