I also use a Wireless logitech keyboard, a G13 Logitech gamepad, and a Logietch gaming mouse (plugged in through USB). I run the comp through my Samsung TV

So, I've had this PC since about February of last year. It was fine for about a month or so and then started to 'hang' on the boot screen (where the little windows colourful logo flys in). On windows 7 this would often result in a reset or holding the power button. When the computer came back on, I would try to detect problems and nothing would come up. If I 'start PC as normal' then often it would simply boot up as normal with no problems.

This went on for about 6 months.. was originally 1 in 10 times, then started to get progressively worse until it was every other time. Looking at the loading pattern there was occasionally the odd .sys file that seemed not to load.

Thinking I might have a corrupt windows 7, I upgraded to Windows 8 a few months back (download pack that i'm assuming installs over windows 7). The problem seemed to go away for a couple of weeks and then started to return.

Now, on the blue logo screen, the little swirly loading icon doesn't appear or occasionally I just get a black screen without even the blue logo. If I hit reset 9 times out of 10 it will just reload and go straight through. (no more windows didn't shut down properly/load properly messages.)

I'm thinking it's 1 of a few things. Could the power not be strong enough for my machine? If I was getting .sys missing messages on Windows 7 and simply upgraded to windows 8 could this be a problem? Using an SSD drive could this be causing it? (It seems to cause major problems when loading in ACHI? mod rather than IDE which I swapped back to after getting the problems again.

I need to re-iterate that once I get through to Windows, i rarely have any problems and the computer runs smoothly with no graphics/lag/slowdown/rarely crashes etc.

Has anyone experienced this? Anyone got any ideas?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
