They haven't talked much about what languages they will be translating the game into, but you should stay tuned. They have stated that their would be a North America megaserver and EU megaserver, so not sure about Brazil.

"The Elder Scrolls Online will be available in English, German and French."

Bottom of this page...

Shame as Morrowind was done in Portuguese, but then it was all text and some random greetings to make, so that game was easier to localize.

They might work on more languages after launch and it would seem like a profitable thing for them to do

You know, when I saw that they were going to be making ESO in French and German, I thought it was a total misread of the gaming populace out there. First of all, most Germans speak decent English, especially younger Germans. So translating the game to German is a complete waste of time.

French is great for France, Quebec, Haiti and a handful of African countries. But how many people from France, Quebec, Haiti and Africa are going to be playing this game in comparison to Spanish and Portuguese speaking people? Very few.

Brazil has a MASSIVE gaming community. Countries like Argentina, Chile, Colombia and Mexico all have a sizable middle class with money to spend on nice computers and PC games.

Big mistake, IMO.

They should have made it English, Spanish and Portuguese. Hell, Mandarin, Japanese and Korean all make more sense to have then German or French. Huge gamers in the Far East.
