I was having a discussion with a friend of mine at work today about who the greatest actors of our time were. We had very different opinions about who were the best actors; as for myself -an admitted uh... Britophile?- I found myself mostly naming British actors: Malcolm McDowell, Daniel Day-Lewis, Liam Neeson, Ewan McGregor, Jeremy Irons, Patrick Stewart, Gary Oldman etc... What actor(s) would you say is/are the greatest of our time? By that I mean an actor who has been in a multitude of critical films and is capable of a great variety of roles.
