Will the first person option show our hands?

With weapons? I know third person will be the primary default camera view, but have they said, since you can zoom into first person we will see our weapons in hand like in the regular elder scrolls games? Seems like combat would be more of a hassel if there's not a first person view of your weapon.

From what I hear during the Pre-Alpha testing you could go first person however it did not show your hands, but good news is that ZOS from what I know is still trying if not fixed it so you can see your hands and weapons.

I'm guessing yes since that's the whole point of first person.

There are other MMOs where you can zoom into first person and play like that but combat is a pain because you don't have a first person view of your weapons. Both WOW and LOTRO are an example of this, so, no, typically in MMOs most of them from what I know don't have a good first person option, thus why I was asking. I thought it would be an important exception for TES:O since first person is an integral part of the whole series.

But those games do not advertise first-person. It hardly is first person.

Zenimax on the other hand is advertising it so I guess it will be actual first-person and not just some zoom-in.

Not sure about hands, but you'll most likely get a good view of the ground, which you will no doubt be laying on.
On the plus side, I'm sure the individual who just tattooed your back with a broadsword will be most appreciative.

I'd suggest increasing your general awareness rather than focussing too heavily on your hands. Rest assured they are there, and are unlikely to leave the moment you stop watching them.

Umm wow, that's a bit of a snarky response. I mean I was only curious. You think I don't have enough MMO experience to know all of what you just told me? Like I said I was curious, I wouldn't have been disappointed if first person was included or not. Anyone with less than half a brain even knows that in MMO combat you do need to be aware of all views, front, back, and sides. Everything you told me is completely obvious.

Not snarky, just advisory ;op

If you read the dev threads the subject had already been raised. They advised against using first person as "turning will be difficult" and you're likely to not last long as it blinds you to whats behind. Monsters will also reputedly act like players. I don't know if that extends to ambushing the apparently unaware.
