PyFFI Release thread?

Post » Fri Feb 08, 2013 10:28 am

I found out that PyFFI has been released yet haven't found the thread for it.Want to know how it does for Skyrims meshes and if there are files that need to be skipped etc., etc..Loved this tool for Oblivion as it gave me a stable (heavily) modded game.Anything regarding Install to usage out yet or is it still too new?

EDIT:Yeah google turned up nothing and the search box on this site gave nothing as well.

I know someone made a PyFFI script that optimized the meshes in a batch operation for Oblivion, and I think that is what you speak of. The current release of PyFFi is not ready for prime time and it will likely be the rest of this year before it can work with a high enough percentage of files to make writing that script again worth the effort. It may never be worth it though as Skyrim is magnitudes more efficient in it's compression as to likely make any improvement attempts on our part negligible at best.
