Is it then advisable to start a new save in Skyrim? Is there any reference in the save file to which graphics card I have installed? Does Skyrim know which card I have?

I am usually paranoid enough to reinstall Windows and all drivers when I buy a new graphics card, but I'm not really keen on starting all over again in Skyrim.
