Am I the only one having issues with getting out of the water after swimming?

I have tried using just "W" (move forward), and swimming into a ledge, but Corvo just jumps out of the water, and falls right back in.

I have tried using "W" and "Space Bar" (jump), and swimming into a ledge while jumping, but the same thing happens.

Whenever I just use the "Space Bar", Corvo sinks like a rock, and I can't even get to the ledge.

The only reasonable ways I have found to get out of water is to walk to shore or to Blink out.

Am I doing something wrong, or is this a legitimate issue with the game?
