Editing an exterior navmesh

Post » Sat Feb 09, 2013 7:29 pm

Ok so where I've placed my buildings the land is all topsy turvy. So I've moulded the land to fit what I need. It looks perfect shall we say. However, and obviously, the navmesh in that cell is completely out of whack.

So I did a recast-based generation in that cell and proceeded to fix it up and make it look lovely. Although follower AI is a little buggy there I'm sure I can tweak it some more. However now TES5Edit reports my mod has 1 deleted navmesh which cannot be undeleted.

Firstly is this going to be a problem? Any mods that edit this cell are clearly going to be incompatible anyway, so should I be worried about about user crashes?

Secondly, what the hell are we supposed to do with navmeshing exterior cells in the Tamriel worldspace? Is it best to just leave them as they are and note on your mod page that AI will be wonky as hell in that area?

Please help :)
