Firstly many quests have "sit and wait" events(like the harry potter scene at the begining of the main questline)
Secondly the place is damn confusing. I go there and i always have to search to find an NPC.I never had this problem with, lets say, companions
Thirdly that huge ball never impressed me and i never thought that it was designed well
Fourthly at some point when you hear Augur of Dunlain saying "the events have begun, the situation is critical, you will save the world" etc you think that something terrible has began. Instead you must face Ancano just ONE mage with some general desire for higher power. No doomsday cults, no big conspiracy against the college and even Ancano is easy to be killed if you know how
Five the merchants of the guild svck. All of them have 500 gold and will sell you spells that have to do with their profession. Court wizards might have the same amount of money yet they have spells from all schools of magic
Six the quests are of no interest.Sure some of them are good( Labyrinthian was the best) but most arent
The only think i really enjoyed was the quests by the librarian. At least he is always on a certain place. Now that i mention it ive never saw him sleeping somewhere
