Do you ever roleplay as... yourself?

Post » Mon Feb 11, 2013 1:55 am

I've done it a couple of times. My first role-playthrough of Oblivion, I played as myself, as a Nord. (Tall, like the cold, from a cold, snowy, rain place)

I also do this in Skyrim. I pick the race that best accentuates myself, and go be... me. I also make decisions that I in that situation would take.

For example, I'm a sword-and-shield soldier who sided with the Imperials (lolstormcloaks) and I s*** myself at the sight of dragons. I never fight them alone. Even then, I may break off. I've killed like four.

I married, and spend a lot of my time in Whiterun, doing what Nords do. Drinking and fighting and drinking again. :P But if something of importance comes up, I act on it immediately.

So... have you ever role-played yourself?

It's the first thing I do with any RPG I play for the first time :D Just can't help it! After that, I have fun with other races/classes. I find that I soon become very bored of my RPG self... Now, what does that mean?

No, I don't... because I would inevitably end up being greater than I am in real life, and I'd feel weird about that.

Hell no, that'd be the most boring rp in the history of the universe.

If I rp'd myself as I was 7 years ago, that might be slightly more interesting, but that would be best suited for Fallout, and not TES.

Nah, I tried to once or twice, but its always boring and I have nothing to do. I would never really be able to kill someone even if they are attacking. Maes Skyrim very boring.

All my characters are either full representations of my personality or partial, they are not full on evil but will do what needs to be done. If that means having to kill innocents then so be it, if I have to kill you to get what I want then so be it. Most of the time my characters are opportunistic and will do what ever needs to be done which is like me I will do what ever I have too in order to achieve my goals. I guess some will view this as being evil and perhaps I am evil at my core being but it does filter into all my characters and they are usually a reflection of my personality in some way shape and form.
