I have more than the recommended hardware to run Skyrim. I have no issues with any other games that I play.

While playing skyrim, I get stuttering as my character runs through the world, and recently I've been getting graphic malfunctions such as my entire screen goes black, goes to black and grey lines, goes to all white screen, or the game just freezes. (during all of this, I still hear game sound) I am able to alt+tab as well as open the Task Manager and end the Skyrim process.

My drivers are up to date and as I said, I have more than the recommended hardware to run the game. I might also note, I do not run any mods. I only have the original Skyrim, Hearthfire and Dawnguard.

So, can someone tell me why this game is messing up so much on graphics?
