Searched for this kind of thread and did not have any luck so here we are. Just wondering what genre of video games is your favorite, or whatever one you're into most. I am guessing a lot of people would say RPG, but what about other genres or you like any other? I have to say RPG games are one of my favorite genres. I love the feeling of creating your own character in a fascinating, make your own story, and live that story. Besides RPGs, I enjoy horror and survival horror. I've mostly been into survival horror games like shooting zombies in the face, but I have recently been trying to get myself in actual horror games. You know, like being chased by monsters while being completely defenseless sort of thing (Amnesia: The Dark Descent being one of my favorites of this genre and a good example of such). I am a very sensitive person. I cry easily from sad situations and I get frightened easily when in scary situations as I panic easily. Makes the horror games a bit more fun and does what its suppose to do, scare you, or make you jump. Back on topic, what is your favorite genre of video games?

Well, as of now my interests boil down to RPG, JRPG, survival horror and strategy games (like CIV and Total War).

RTS.
Something just feels right about watching a clearly superior opponent crumble to you brilliant use of low tier units.

Action-RPG (whether fantasy or gun-shooting) and strategy/city-building sorts of games.

I've liked character-driven RPG's since BG1, but at this point in my life they're not generally my favorite genre. Don't have the patience.
