The wierdest thing just happened to me. A dragon attack was taking place on the bridge to Windhelm so I went up onto the battlements to get a clear shot at him. The dragon came flying right at me but was not breathing fire/frost. Rather, he just flew right at me and suddenly I am dead, flying through the air over the bridge. I did not get a very good kill cam to show what happened. But it is almost as if he grabbed me with his claws and tossed me. I am really puzzled cause I have never seen that before. Realy would like to know how he killed me.

Added: If it helps any, I had a ward up at the time and the ward continued its animation for a bit even as my body went flying.

dragons can pick you up and drop you, and it counts as an instant kill.

That sounds logical, but I have never seen them do that to anyone or anything before, much less myself. At most I have seen them grab someone in their jaws and toss them.

In my games it always happens I've never had it happen to me, though.

That is scripted. Just like the imperial soldier that Alduin picks up during the Escape from Helgen sequence.

That's rough. Never seen that happen, so I guess I am lucky.
